Il 22 November 2017, without too many ads, officially started hunting nutria. E’ It was in fact published in the Official Bulletin of the Region FVG plan to eradicate nutria. More than an official bulletin reads like a war bulletin: rifles, Weapons, airguns, traps, and even gas; there are only antinutria mines. Homo sapiens with this choice manifests all his delirium of omnipotence, assuming the right to be able to choose the life or death of tens of thousands of free animals. An unequal war, inhuman with a disproportionate advantage of forces and weapons to humans. A bloodbath whose only conceivable benefit is to alleviate the psychopathologies of male hunters' sexuality, which may give a display of their long gun barrels even when hunting is prohibited. A war unwinnable, as in previous abatement campaigns, or on long periods, they caused an instinctive increase in the reproductive abilities of the otters.
All this is also a mockery to state laws that, despite not having a big heart for animals in general, they had provided the nutria with some meager rights, Also these blatantly violated by the regional regulations. The state legislature in fact with the law 221/2015, has predicted that the interventions for the eradication and control of populations of nutria is normally practiced through the use of ecological methods, ie non-violent. The regional offices, instead, to apply the superordinate law have given greater value to an opinion of the ISPRA believing that <<It should not be expected to be a priority application of ecological indirect methods>>.
Another conflict with state law concerns the possibility of hunters' intervention. The national rule does not allow hunters to kill otters, unless they are not owners of the bottom conductors, home to the coypu. The regional rule instead allows not only the hunters to shoot when the hunt is on, but for some selected friends even when hunting is closed.
Once again it is shown how the law is not the daughter of justice and does not protect the interests of those living in these territories, be it human or other animal.
