Our campaign to raise awareness of the Muggesana population to celebrate an Easter without animals on the plate is underway. Every year in Italy, in the midst of a disproportionate number of other animals, they are slaughtered beyond 2 millions of lambs, 375 thousand only during Easter. The lambs are brutally killed at just one month of life, after being taken from their mothers, all for a tradition that should aim at love, to peace and respect. MujaVeg wants to raise awareness and aim for reflection on a suffering that can be avoided simply by stopping buying meat and eating animals.
For the first time the awareness poster is all the work of MujaVeg volunteers, both in the slogan, chosen from several options discussed in the group, both in the graphics and in the painting that was donated by Lorenza Pisanello recalling the features of the Viennese painter Gustav Klimt in the shapes and colors.
L'artista, graphic designer and activist of the painting “Mother and little lamb” has always been committed to the fight against violence against animals and has made ethics its artistic expression. Together with her and the other members of the association we started a project that wants to combine art and culture with activism, because of this, for the next awareness campaigns we gladly welcome artistic contributions from people strongly motivated to change the world to make it a better place for all living beings.
